We are
continually seeking volunteers who
are interested in serving their community as volunteer firefighters. We
need
people who are available any time of day. We are especially in need of
people
between 7 AM and 5 PM weekdays.
Who are the firefighters of Egypt?
Our firefighters come from all walks of life. Past and present members
include
doctors, accountants, computer professionals, mechanics, truck drivers,
farmers, students, housewives, etc. Anyone with a desire to serve their
community, whether blue collar or white collar, male or female is
welcome to

Qualifications:
- Must
be over the age of 18
- Resident
of the Egypt Fire District or employed in the district
- Be in
reasonable health, able to perform firefighting duties
- Male
or Female
Commitments:
- OSHA
Safety Training Requirements (Approximately 20 hours/year)
- NYS
Firefighting Essentials Course must be completed
within one year (Course given locally)
- Maintain
200 point activity level. Volunteers earn 3 points each drill or alarm
attended.
