Brush Fire on off of the Trolley Trail East of Lollypop Farm on 03/26/2024

At about 2 PM, Egypt was dispatched for the report of a brush fire along the trail.  The first arriving unit, see the drone photo, found a fire approximately half way between the trail and substation.  Additional fire companies were called to assist in bringing manpower and water to this remote part of the trail.  Approximately 10,000 feet of supply and attack lines were laid to contain the fire.  Crews were stationed along the trail and at the substation to keep it from jumping the trail and reaching the substation.  Egypt would like to thank our mutual aid departments the South Macedon FD, Fairport FD, Bushnells Basin FD, Farmington FD, Pittsford FD, Mendon FD, Brighton FD, East Rochester FD, Victor FD, Fishers FD, Perinton Ambulance, Monroe County Sheriffs Office, Monroe County Fire Bureau and the Emergency Communications Center-911 for their assistance at the scene or filling-in during the event.  

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FAIRPORT HIGH GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM!

Congratulations goes out to the 2024 Girls Basketball Team for bringing home the Section 5 Championship Fairport High on 03/02/24.  The last time this happened was 2014, but what makes this historic is that NYS will hold a Division AAA tournament and Fairport will be Section 5's first representative.  We wish them all best as they play in the coming weeks and we look forward to welcoming home as State Champs!

House Fire on Larkspur Lane on 02/26/2024

Early on the morning 2/26, Egypt Fire was dispatched for the reported bedroom fire.  Upon arriving at the scene, Egypt 3C-13 found fire coming from the second floor and declared a working fire.  Crews quickly knocked down the fire which had spread into the attic.  Thanks to Bushnells Basin FD, Fairport FD, Perinton Ambulance and the MCSO for assistance at the scene, and Emergency Communications Center - 911 for coordinating resources.  Thank you as well to the fill-in companies that covered the district during this event.

Mutual Aid to the Fairport Fire Department on 02/04/2024

At 10:53 PM, Egypt was dispatched as mutual aid with our Tower 330 for house on fire.  At the scene, we initially checked for extension into an adjacent 1st floor apartment before putting our tower into operations to assist with roof operations.  We were on scene to just before 3:00 AM on 02/05/2024.

Mutual Aid to the Fairport Fire Department on 01/24/2024

At 3:29 AM on 01/24/2024, Egypt was dispatched as the RIC for the reported house fire.  Upon arrival, Egypt was immediately put to work doing fire suppression at the 3-alarm fire.

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOUR 2023 GIRLS & BOYS VOLLEYBALL STATE CHAMPIONS

Congratulations to both the Fairport High School Girls and Boys Volleyball Teams for winning thier respective NYS State Titles!  The boys traveled home yesterday evening and we along with Bushnell Basin and Fairport Fire Departments escorted them from the NYS Thruway back to the high school.  This afternoon we had the honor of escorting the Girls Team back and agan met them at the NYS Thruway and brought them back to the high school to meet up with their parents.

Again, Congratulations to both teams for a terrific season!

2023 TRUCK-OR-TREAT, SATURDAY - 10/28/2023

We had another great turnout for the annual Truck-or-Treat event with over 100 people stopping by for a little Halloween Fun.  The kids were able to tour the trucks and have some cider and donuts and of course some candy.  We thank the families that came out for what turned out to be a great day for all.  We will see you next year for the Easter Egg Hunt, watch for the date!

2023 Open House on Saturday, 10/14/2023

Here are a few photos and an Instragram Post from the Town of Perinton.  The post reviews both our open house and the one at Bushnells Basin FD that were held on this Saturday.  

3-Car Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) at Turk Hill Rd and Route 31 on 10/12/2023

Egypt was dispatched to a 3-car MVA with the report of a car flipped and a person trapped, and blocking the intersection.  Upon arrival, the Chief found no one trapped and no injuries.  We assisted with hazard mitigation with the vehicles before going back in service.

2023 Fairport High School DWI Drill on 06/02/2023

This morning, Egypt firefighters conducted a drill with Bushnells Basin Fire, Fairport Fire, Perinton Ambulance, Monroe County Sheriff's Office and Keenan's Funeral Home to provide the FHS Class of 2023 with a reminder on the dangers of drinking and driving.  We want to Thank Fairport CSD for having us and to our fellow Perinton/Fairport first responders for taking the time today to participate.

Mutual Aid to the Farmington Fire District on 05/15/2023

Egypt responded to Farmington at 10:41 AM for the reported house on fire.  Upon arrival, they found a fully-involved structure fire.  Egypt crews assisted at the 2-alarm fire with fire attack using ground and elevated master streams.  There were no injuries and the cause is under investigation.  Thank you Fairport Fire for filling in at our Station 1.
